Throughout my diverse career journey, one constant thread has defined my identity: I am, at heart, a painter.

From my early days as an art student, where I showcased my work in solo and group exhibitions, to my international work as a Commercial Film Director, the act of drawing and visualising has always been my primary mode of expression. While directing films, I often humorously referred to myself as "a painter pretending to be a film director," recognising that my true passion lay in the art of creation through mark making.

In 2015, I made the pivotal decision to relocate from bustling inner-city Sydney to the tranquil landscapes of Lake Heights in the Illawarra Region. Inspired by the ethereal light that bathes the unique terrain of Lake and Escarpment, I found myself drawn to a new colour palette and thematic exploration.

The industrial and coastal suburban backdrop of my new surroundings became not only the physical setting but also the foundation of my recent paintings. Marrying years of experience in the film industry with the metaphorical and archetypal symbolism of my early works, I embarked on a journey of artistic evolution.

The result is a growing collection of paintings that hopefully not only captivate visually but also invite viewers into a world of intrigue and introspection.
